Since Aspen is emerging from its summer/fall seasons and Bariloche is entering its spring/summer seasons we were able to share some of our collective experiences regarding the tourist economy during times of Covid with city and tourism officials of our two cities. Present in this virtual meeting were Sarah Reynolds and Eliza Voss from Aspen Chamber Resort Association and Mitch Osur from the City of Aspen. This interesting exchange of ideas and information was a great opportunity to learn from each other during these difficult times while we contribute to our goal of “creating and strengthening partnerships between our communities in an effort to increase global cooperation at the municipal level, to promote cultural understanding and to stimulate economic development“.
