“TASTE THE WORLD”: THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF IT!

Celebrating our Sister Cities Friendships and Traditions.

Food brings families, friends and communities together. It tells a story about our traditions, that pass down through generations. It is a symbol of identity and an essential part of every culture. It was an honor (and so much fun!) to represent each one of our sister cities and bring our mission to life with “Taste the World”, celebrating the connections made through our cultural exchanges for more than 50 years.

“On behalf of Aspen Sister Cities, I have many to thank for a successful, inaugural, all-volunteer fundraiser for Aspen Sister Cities. This was a grassroots, “all hands on deck” event last Saturday with the board members, city coordinators and students organizing and preparing for “Taste the World”- featuring food and drinks from our seven sister cities. The community rallied around this event that will help support the many programs Aspen Sister Cities organizes and runs.” Jill Sheeley, President.

We would like to thank the Town of Snowmass Village, City of Aspen, Aspen Chamber Resort Association, The Red Brick Center for the Arts, Carl’s Pharmacy, Paradise Bakery, Louis Swiss Bakery, Viceroy Snowmass, City Market, Francesca’s Pasta Market & Empanadas, Aspen Skis and Aspen Bikes. Thank you to all silent auction contributors. The pies were a big hit!

Special thanks to Lia Hodgson, who did a great job planning and recruiting students to help with the event! Lia is an Aspen High School Junior, who has participated in multiple student exchanges and has been selected to represent Aspen Sister Cities in the annual Sister Cities International Youth Leadership Summit in Washington, DC this past June.

Thank you for being a part of it. Looking forward to next year!
