TEQBALL CLINIC IN ASPEN

The Aspen Sister Cities Committee has applied for and been awarded a Teqball table to be located at the Aspen High School. As part of this, there will be an introduction and launch of the program on March 12, 2022 from 4:30-6:30 in the Aspen High School Skier Dome. Four professional athletes or “Teqers” will be coming to conduct this clinic to Roaring Fork Valley residents. Aspen Sister Cities will support these FITEQ athletes in the community during their visit. Teqball is a candidate sport for inclusion in the Los Angeles Summer Olympics in 2028.
Aspen Sister Cities mission is to share ideas and cultures promoting world peace – one individual, one community at a time. This table donation is aligned with the Sister Cities mission as it ensures accessibility to anyone who wants to play the sport and partake in this global sport.  This donation is made to further establish the sport across the United States and make Teqball available for all  who want to play. Teqball USA will not only donate this table, but will have internationally ranked professional Teqers on hand to  demo the sport for those in attendance.
Teqball is a popular sport emerging around the world -and finding huge popularity across the United States and among professional and celebrity fans including Messi, Neymar, Ronaldinho, David Beckham, Mauro Icardi, Eden Hazard, Justin Bieber, and Adam Levine. To date, Teqball USA has pledged a 200 table donation over the next 24 months to be donated to communities and major cities across the USA. Teqball USA will be pairing each of these table donations with in-person activations, educating the community on the sport whilst encouraging a healthy & active lifestyle.
The soccer-based sport is played on a specially-curved table (the Teq table), and is attracting a new generation of athletes and amateur enthusiasts (Teqers). Teqball USA is committed to building a community by using the power of sports to build cultural relevance and creating a movement that brings joy to people’s lives daily.
We envision, as a first step, some Roaring Fork Valley wide competitions to get the sport started and generate interest, especially among communities and visitors who love soccer!
